The much-anticipated $100,000 World Cup presented by Audi will be hosted by Grand Champions Polo Club April 7-14 with the largest field and richest prize purse in club history.
It is one of the most prestigious polo tournaments with teams from 0-to-26 goal rating held on 13 championship fields at Grand Champions, Santa Rita and Valiente.
Last year’s event, resurrected by Grand Champions owners and polo players Melissa and Marc Ganzi, attracted 16 teams and record crowds.
Last year’s inaugural champion was Palm Beach Illustrated, a 21-goal underdog team with players Jared Zenni, Santi Torres, Agustin Obregon and Tommy Collingwood. The PBI squad seeks to defend their title in a very competitive field for 2018. Visit gcpolo.com for details.”
