2018 Festival Guide

Palm Beach Modern + Contemporary, January 11-15
Where:
Palm Beach Modern + Contemporary Pavilion at 825 S. Dixie Highway Why Go: An offshoot of Art Miami, this fine art festival was a hit when it debuted last year. The 2018 iteration will once again cater to collectors, with more than 1,000 artists scheduled to participate.  

Palm Beach Poetry Festival, January 15-20
Where: Old School Square, Delray Beach Why Go: In addition to workshops and readings, the 2018 festival will feature special guest Coleman Barks, who will be interviewed by Chard deNiord. 

Art Palm Beach, January 17-21
Where:
Palm Beach County Convention Center Why Go: Now in its twenty-first year, Art Palm Beach will host more than 85 international galleries over four days.

Continuum West Palm Beach Arts, January 18-27
Where:
Downtown West Palm Beach Why Go: Celebrating its fifth anniversary in 2018, Continuum showcases Palm Beach County artists. It includes a pop-up gallery as well as numerous artistic activities, such as a body painting battle.

Palm Beach Jewelry, Art & Antique Show, February 14-20
Where:
Palm Beach County Convention Center Why Go: This annual gathering of the finer things features the best dealers from around the world selling one-of-kind pieces and exquisite jewelry.

Lake Worth Street Painting Festival, February 24-25
Where: Downtown Lake Worth Why Go: Because it’s one of the coolest block parties in Palm Beach County, filled with live music and artists creating chalk masterpieces right at your feet.

Festival of the Arts Boca, February 23 to March 4
Where: Mizner Park Amphitheater, Boca Raton Why Go: A celebration of the performing arts—with a focus on film, music, and literature—this year’s festival will feature Bill Murray, Itzhak Perlman, and a screening of E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial screened with a live score courtesy of The Symphonia Boca Raton.

Art Boca Raton, March 15-18
Where: International Pavilion of the Palm Beaches, Research Park at Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton Why Go: Now in its third year, Art Boca Raton will present purchasable pieces from international galleries, as well as lectures, documentary screenings, and other events.

Palm Beach Book Festival, April TBD
Where: Various locations in Palm Beach County Why Go: Not much has been confirmed yet about the 2018 Palm Beach Book Festival but previous participants have included Olympic gymnast Laurie Hernandez, Palm Beacher James Patterson, and Jeffrey Toobin, a staff writer for The New Yorker and author of The Run of His Life: The People v. O.J. Simpson.

SunFest, May 3-6
Where: Downtown West Palm Beach Waterfront Why Go: With multiple stages showcasing the biggest names in popular music, Sunfest is an annual must. The 2018 event will also feature interactive art components and curated arts and craft booths.
