Frigate’s | North Palm Beach
The newest waterfront hotspot in North County, Frigate's Waterfront Bar and Grill has quickly become the darling of boaters sticking to the ditch. What was once a Denny’s has transformed into a Key West-style bar and grill, complete with an indoor dining room and a stand-alone, open-air bar along the Earman River that boasts one of the best happy hours around.
The kitchen touches on all the basics, with a smattering of seafood and land offerings to keep most appeased. The “handhelds”—sandwich menu—serves two popular favorites: dolphin Rueben and fish tacos. As for an entree, the grouper francese is rich and delicate—a nice twist on an otherwise poultry-only dish. For those looking to make it a Sunday Funday, the Sunday Brunch is an all-hands-on-deck sort of affair. There is a children's menu ($7.95) as well as a full buffet-style banquet for adults ($14.95) that includes everything you’ve ever wanted in brunch: omelet, carving and bagel stations; shrimp and grits; biscuits and gravy; homemade waffles; and more. But drinks is where things get serious. For $12, the bubbles are endless with mimosas—traditional and passion fruit—as well as peach bellinis. For the tomato fan, the build-your-own Bloody Mary bar is worth the trip alone. For $8 ($10 for premium vodka), you can put just about anything into that drink—why not crispy bacon strips or hearts of palm?
For the sea-legged, there is more than 500 feet of dock space, available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
