Each season, the Society of the Four Arts serves up something new. Last year, it was the addition of the Fitz Eugene Dixon Education Building, which greatly augmented the organization's Campus on the Lake program. This year, the new comes in the form of arts initiatives designed to bring an even larger audience to the Palm Beach campus.
In addition to three art exhibits that will visit the Esther B. O'Keeffe Gallery, the Four Arts will host a children's art exhibition entitled "Illustrating Words: The Wondrous Fantasy World of Robert L. Forbes, poet and Ronald Searle, artist." This collection of more than 60 works marrying poetry and art will transport children to a whimsical world of watercolor and poetry from November 1 through Summer 2015.

For even more art, attend "Great Art on Screen." This new program allows visitors to travel to some of the world's greatest museums without leaving the comfort of the island. The exhibition telecasts include "Manet: Portraying Life" at the Royal Academy of Arts on December 7, "Munch 150" at the National Museum and Munch Museums on January 4 and "Vermeer and Music: The Art of Love and Leisure" at the National Gallery on January 18.
These additions merely scratch the surface of the programming available at the Four Arts during the 2013-14 season. The ever-popular O'Keeffe Lecture Series returns in January with speakers including Garrison Keillor, Itzhak Perlman and Mia Farrow. Planning to attend Art Basel this year? Join the Four Arts on December 5 for a field trip and discuss abstract art among a friendly group. And don't forget about the Sunday Concert Series, which kicks off December 15 with the Tempest Trio. An insider tip: Mark the performance of pianist Benjamin Grosvenor on February 9 on your calendar now. The British-born 21-year-old is gearing up to make a name for himself in the classical music world, and you'll want to gloat that you saw him way back when.
