The first annual Friends of Jupiter Beach Food and Wine Festival is on May 8. The festival hopes to bring together locals and their four-legged family members to promote the conservation of the ocean and the beach, and to keep it dog-friendly and clean. Hosted at the Jupiter Riverwalk Events Plaza beneath the east span of the Indiantown Road Bridge, the event will be held rain or shine.
More than a dozen of the area’s favorite restaurant and food businesses are offering samples of their dishes. Restaurants that are currently signed up include Café Boulud, Little Moir’s Food Shack, In the Kitchen, Café Copenhagen, Chef John’s, and Kilwin’s Chocolates & Ice Cream. If you get thirsty, Southern Wine and Spirits, multiple wineries and vodka companies are providing beverages. For the underaged, Evian and Source Badoit will offer water. Acoustic Soul and steel drummer Albert Rodney will be playing tunes.
Other organizations participating in the festival are Loggerhead Marinelife Center, Busch Wildlife Sanctuary, John D. MacArthur State Park and Lagoon Keepers.
Tickets cost $25 for adults and $10 for children. Dogs are free.
