The Chassidic Jazz Project was formed by Drummer, Reuben Hoch in 1998. The CJP is dedicated to exploring the music of the Jewish people using jazz as a medium for musical expression. The resulting cross-cultural music is innovative in nature while respectful of tradition. The CJP is a sextet with intriguing instrumentation that includes viola and cello thus creating a gorgeous chamber music effect. In the CJP, artistry and ancestry unite.
