With some of the most passionate music and memorable melodies, La Traviata is one of the most popular operas ever composed.  In the glittering and decadent world of 1850s Parisian nightlife, Alfredo falls desperately in love with the beautiful Violetta, one of Paris’s most notorious courtesans. Despite her reservations, she returns his love and they flee Paris for the tranquility of the countryside.  Violetta’s happiness is tragically shattered when Alfredo’s father manipulates her into abandoning Alfredo to save his family’s honor. The Emmy Award winning Renata Scotto returns to direct this sumptuous production featuring an outstanding cast of international Verdi singers.
