A four legged tradition turns 40 this year as Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League prepares to dazzle you with this year’s edition of its annual Christmas Ball.
The ball, which has become the hot and frequently sold out ticket, is equal parts elegant and adorable. This year’s Chairwoman, Board Members, and longtime League supporters, Lesly Smith and Virginia Burke invite you to this year’s “Doggie Ball,” which will be held at the Sailfish Club on Thursday, December 6.
You’ll never forget the receiving line of adoptable pets that will greet you with wagging tales as you walk the red carpet. Later in the evening, these dogs and cats will parade through the party to the song, “How Much Is that Doggie in the Window,” giving you an up close look at these special animals, some of whom might find loving forever homes later in the evening.
You may find it hard not to give your credit card a workout at the Shaggy Shoppe boutique, brought exclusively to the Ball. It’s your chance to find a few perfect holiday gifts for your animals and animal loving friends. The Shaggy Shoppe features designer dog and cat beds, food dishes, collars & leashes, carriers, pictures frames, and much more.
You’ll enjoy the festive evening, bathed in holiday lights, garlands, and festive Christmas trees, knowing that you’ve supported the mission of helping homeless, neglected, and injured dogs and cats. You’ll leave, holding your special, secret gift and this year’s edition of the cherished Publicity Hound magazine, which features portraits of some of the most beloved animals in our community.
