New Gardens Band Director Owen Seward, a confessed “Sousa-phile” has made a lifetime study of Sousa. Each year Mr. Seward portrays the famous bandmaster at the annual Sousa extravaganza concert. New pieces and little heard “pearls” from the Sousa library in the style and costumes of the early 20th century will be presented. This trademark concert features singers and surprises just the way the great bandmaster presented them.
