It’s a decorator’s dream, a collector’s paradise, a sea of art couture’ and more. The art show season in Palm Beach has become legendary around the world. Collectors come from far and wide to view and purchase outstanding works of art. The Palm Beach Fine Craft Show, the last big art show of the season at the Palm Beach County Convention Center, provides a contemporary finale to the Palm Beach Art Season.

   Not to be confused with the many "craft fairs" that dot the Florida landscape, the Palm Beach Fine Craft Show is a premier showcase of American contemporary art and design. Enter the hall and prepare to be dazzled as you find one-hundred-twenty of the nation’s most highly regarded Contemporary Craft Artists, each of whom has been selected by a jury of professionals in the field of American Contemporary Craft.

Along with the fantastic artists showcasing their work, a number of events are scheduled to keep things interesting:

• On March 1, Linda Boone, former owner/director fo Habatat Galleries will lead the panel discussion, "Contemporary Fine Art Glass: A Symposium." Following the lecture, models displaying wearable art, jewelry and fashion accessories from designers at the show will take to the catwalk at 3 p.m.
• On Saturday, March 2, the models take to the runway again at 1 p.m., followed by the lecture “Enhance Your Collection with Enamels,” led by enamel artist and member of the Enamellist Society, Judy Stone.
• On Sunday, March 3, the lecture series comes to a close with celebrated ceramic artist Kristen Stingle leading the discussion “The Art of the Story,” which tackles the topic of story through object rather than word.
