Holiday Parade and Lighting of the Menorah at the 100-Foot Christmas Tree. Kids can enjoy a fun day of ice skating, Santa sightings and more from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The fun leads up to the lighting of the menorah at 5:15 p.m. at Old School Square to mark the first day of Hanukkah. Following the lighting is the Holiday Parade down Atlantic Ave. at 6 p.m., starting at Venetian Dr. and continuing west to Northwest/Southwest 5th Avenue. Admission is free.
A The 100-Foot Christmas Tree at Delray Beach's Old School Square is a tradition of epic proportions, now standing tall for its twentieth year. With more than 3,000 branches, 39,500 ornaments and 15,500 lights, the famous 100-Foot Christmas Tree once again lights up downtown Delray Beach through the New Year. Kids of all ages can enjoy a milieu of holiday activities, including Santa visits, ice skating, a whirl around the carousel and more. Each weekend in December is packed with events, from the Friday night concert series to the New Years Eve bash First Night.
