Before the games on the greens take place, the supporters, friends and staff of Place of Hope will take a moment to acknowledge the commitment shown by ordinary people with an extraordinary capacity to care.

   Debbie Butler of Palm Beach Gardens will accept the Pande Family Award on behalf of her and her late husband, Abbey J. Butler – both of whom have mentored and guided Place of Hope youth for more than eight years – at the 2013 Place of Hope Golf Invitational & Charity Dinner. The Pande Family Award recognizes a long-standing dedication to turning around the lives of abused and neglected children.

   The Butlers will be recognized at the dinner, which kicks off the annual event March 3-4, 2013, at the Old Palm Golf Club. The Golf Invitational & Charity Dinner welcomes Place of Hope supporters from across the country to raise operating funds for programs, housing, services and outreach.

Place of Hope Golf Invitational & Charity Dinner will begin at 5:30 p.m. March 3, 2013, at Old Palm Golf Club with a dinner and auction event, followed with the golf tournament at 8 a.m. March 4, 2013, also at Old Palm Golf Club, 11089 Old Palm Drive, Palm Beach Gardens.

• Foursome: $6,000 - includes reservations for a foursome of golf and eight seats at the Charity Auction Dinner.
•  Single Player: $1,500 - includes reservations for one golfer and two seats at the Charity Auction Dinner.
