On Sunday, November 10, from 1-5 p.m., the Mandel JCC will kickstart a week of fun-filled activities for the whole family to celebrate the Grand opening of the Mandel JCC Palm Beach Gardens campus.
Sunday's activities include: a carnival featuring inflatable slides, obstacle courses, electric go carts, and more; live music by the popular Rick Recht band and the Klezmer band; the Miami Heat Extreme Team; book sale; the center will open for play for children, including gymnastics; an “Iron Chef” competition in the teaching kitchen; and much more.
The event is chaired by Michael and Janice Falk, Gary and Sue Hubschman, and Craig and Danielle Storch.
From Monday, November 11 to Friday, November 15, guests are invited for free to the JCC. Sample fitness, adult education and bridge classes, hear from guest speakers and attend special events.
The showcase will feature special guests including Jared Fogle (the Subway guy) to discuss healthy lifestyles for children; Olympic gold medalist Lenny Krayzelburg who will also do a children’s swim lesson; Chef John Rico from Culinary Institute of America; a film presented by the Palm Beach Jewish Film Festival and more.
On Saturday, Novmber 16, more than 300 guests will don their finest for the Grand Opening Gala to honor community leaders and philanthropists, Linda and Ray Golden, as well as all of the donors to the Mandel JCC Capital Campaign. The evening will include dinner, live entertainment and dancing. The gala is co-chaired by David and Connie Blacher, Zelda and Allen Mason, Bob and Beryl Schneider, and Vicki and Stephen Wildstein.
