The color green abounds this time of year, but for a very special St. Patrick’s Day event, the “green” represents donations made on behalf of the Lake Worth St. Patrick’s Day Charity Parade sponsors. The benefitting charity, Wheels For Kids, will donate three fully customized wheelchairs, with a total value of $27,000, to three very deserving children in need during the daylong celebration taking place at 1 p.m. on Sunday, March 16, on Lake Avenue.
Featuring fabulous floats from local civic and commercial businesses, the Premier Kids Train, as well as live musical and other entertainment, the St. Patrick’s Day Charity Parade heralds Rod Regan as Grand Marshall, and features Lake Worth Princess Jaime Abbott.
Wheels for Kids will be raising money through the Sheering Shed where you can donate money and get your head shaved as well as through parade registrations. The cost for entering the parade is $50 per individual, and organization, and $100 per merchant. There is no charge for nonprofits, religious organizations, or schools.
