The Fascinating World of Golf

The Gary Wiren Collection is one of the finest and most extensive private collections of golf memorabilia in the world. The exhibit will include clubs, balls, tees, postcards, photos, stamps, trophies, comics, magazines, books games, jewelry and history. The collection has been featured on ESPN sports TV and personally visited by Warren Buffett and Bill Gates.

Spearheaded by Council president, Diane von Furstenberg, the exhibition includes garments and accessories by the most impactful creators of the last fifty years, on view from January 29 through April 21, 2013.

In a resort-style fishing lodge in rural Georgia, this comedy revolves around two of its guests, Englishman Charlie Baker and Staff Sergeant Froggy LeSueur. Charlie is so pathologically shy that he is unable to speak. As way of explanation, Froggy claims that his companion is the native of an exotic country who does not understand a word of English. Before long, Charlie finds himself privy to assorted secrets and scandals freely discussed in front of him by the other visitors.
