SiSpa's Give Back Treatments for July

Stephen Brown

SiSpa at the Palm Beach Marriott Singer Island Beach Resort & Spa is helping raise awareness for A Rhea of Hope Foundation by donating a portion of all proceeds from three select Give Back Treatments through July 31. Anyone who orders the 50-minute Diamond Facial, 50-minute ‘Zensory’ Scrub or the Shellac Manicure will help those who face not just the challenge of the fighting cancer but fertility issues as well, with SiSpa graciously donating 10 percent of the total proceeds.

SiSpa - Give Back Treatments for A Rhea of Hope - Palm Beach Marriott Singer Island Beach Resort & Spa

The AAA Four-Diamond rated Palm Beach Marriott Singer Island Beach Resort & Spa is continuously ranked as one of the top stays in Palm Beach County, and SiSpa is a big part of that continued success. With breathtaking views overlooking the Atlantic, SiSpa’s treatment menu is an all-inclusive affair, incorporating time-tested spa treatments married with the latest in modern spa technology (to the spa outsider, the Total Transformation Oxygen Facial, with its use of hyperbaric oxygen technology and glycolic acid, almost sounds like a sci-fi movie deep-space travel scene—a suspended animation of the skin, if you will). At 8,500 square feet, SiSpa is a plush, luxe retreat along the Atlantic with eight treatment suites, a Vichy treatment room, steam rooms, heated marble beds, a spa patio with whirlpool, a separate manicure/pedicure area and a private beach cabana designated for seaside massages. SiSpa’s menu includes an array of treatments, including facials, nail therapies, full body therapies, massage treatments, waxing options and a full guy’s menu for the gents out there.

SiSpa’s Give Back Treatments is a monthly charity partnership program, aimed to support local and national charities and nonprofits by donating a portion of the proceeds of specific spa treatments. The programing helps raise not only funds for various organizations but also awareness of their respective missions, with A Rhea of Hope taking center stage for July.

A Rhea of Hope Foundation - fertility options for cancer related issues   A Rhea of Hope Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to “building awareness and creating opportunities for individuals and families affected by cancer-related fertility issues.” According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention in a 2002 study, 7.3 million women between the ages of 15 and 44 experience an impaired ability to have children. But according to the 2009 “nationwide survey of oncologists regarding treatment-related infertility and fertility preservation in female cancer patients” [Forman et al.], less than half of American oncologists (39 percent to 47 percent) routinely refer patients to specialists in reproductive medicine, despite a concern within the medical community about the potential impact cancer treatments have on fertility. A Rhea of Hope is dedicated to assisting “women, couples and families who struggle to conceive a child” by helping educate not just the public but also health care providers about fertility options, “support research and development of new treatments relating to fertility issues and the causes and diseases that can lead to sterility” and provide financial support for those in need to realize their dream of having children.
