    While the wedding may be a day of full of cherished memories, finalizing the divorce can be one hell of a party. Making its triumphant return a mere six-months after its world premiere, Divorce Party The Musical: The Hilarious Journey to Hell…and Back! has returned to the Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts for a six-week run July 10 through August 19.

   From the producer of the smash off-Broadway hit Menopause: The Musical, Divorce Party taps into the despair, anguish and eventual new beginning a failed relationship brings with precise comic timing and cheeky new lyrics to longstanding pop songs, including “Respect” and an uproarious spoof of “Bohemian Rhapsody.” Linda, a recent divorcée is in a rut, finding solace only at the bottom of a pint of Ben & Jerry’s Chubby Hubby ice cream—that is, until her three besties come to the rescue, helping her move out and on with her life, musical book in tow, taking Linda from down-and-out to happily single and ready to mingle.

    Brought to the stage by veteran theater producer and Juno Beach resident Mark Schwartz as well as Boca Raton-based former chiropractor and pen of Congratulations on Your Divorce: The Road to Finding Your Happily Ever After, Amy Botwinick, Divorce Party is a celebration of new beginnings, friendship and inner strength, with a little bit of comic hilarity and innuendo thrown into the mix. Dealing much with divorce itself, with scenes of quibbling attorneys and stilted encounters with the ex, much of the musical, like Menopause, tackles many adult themes, particularly growing older and the overarching affects age can have, from body image to sexual fulfillment.

    After sold-out performances during the January/February run, the Kravis Center is bringing the musical celebrating the new normal of American middle age back to the Rinker Playhouse.
