The tastiest month of the year is right around the corner as Flavor Palm Beach begins serving dishes September 1. The month-long food-tacular gives foodies and foodies-in-training an opportunity to try special prix fixe menus featuring three-course meals for lunch ($20) and dinner ($30 or $35) from participating restaurants across the map, from Boca to Jupiter.
Now celebrating its fifth year, Flavor Palm Beach has evolved, becoming one of the most anticipated culinary events, not just for diners but restaurants as well. Originally enacted to help stir up business during the historically slow month of September, Flavor Palm Beach has become an opportunity for chefs to let the culinary acumen fly free, coming up with some truly interesting meals. This year promises to be a banner year for the event, with more than 40 restaurants joining the cause (for a listing of participating restaurants and to make reservations, click here). Plus, the good will is going beyond the restaurant doors, with special event proceeds benefiting Share Our Strength, a national nonprofit dedicated to ending childhood hunger in America.
This year, Flavor is bringing an added gastronomic treat to the weekly calendar with limited-engagement Meet the Chef events on Wednesdays, starting August 29 and continuing through September. Benefiting Share Our Strength, the Meet the Chef events will feature a different restaurant each week, where diners will enjoy a visit from the chef, menu sampling, sips from Stoli and Premier and much more.
- Flavor Palm Beach kicks off August 29 at Top of the Point for the first Meet the Chef events. Sixty guests will take in breathtaking views atop Phillips Point and enjoy small bites from the Flavor Palm Beach menu as well as signature cocktails from Stoli.
