FOX Surfboards has a 45-year history in South Florida, having opened one of the first surf shops in Palm Beach County. These days, the company works out of its Lake Worth warehouse, custom-creating surfboards, kite boards and paddleboards, including those used by lifeguards. Owner John Parton has saved each shaping file from the boards he’s made—roughly 80,000 and counting—which allows him to further specialize a surfer’s experience based on new needs, such as more flotation or a shorter or longer board.
