Have a knack for painting, feel like throwing some clay, or need some artistic direction or encouragement? The Boca Museum of Art is holding an open house for The Art School’s upcoming fall session on Sunday, August 25 from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m., welcoming all prospective students in all age levels to see what’s in store for 2013.
The Art School at Boca Museum of Art is one of the most inclusive and broad in all of Palm Beach County, with classes in a range of media and skill level. The eight-week Fall 2013 session classes include painting in multiple forms (oil and acrylics, watercolor, mixed media), drawing, photography, sculpture, jewelry-making, collage, printmaking, glass work, mixed media, even yoga and computer classes dedicated to Photoshop; throughout the course of The Arts School’s fall and spring sessions, more than 100 classes, lectures and workshops are offered, with each designated to a specific theme and/or medium. On August 25, prospective students can meet with instructors, tour the renovated studios and facility, as well as view some of the work created by the instructors—a preview of what the eight-week courses will create.
