Looking for a Halloween activity that has just the right amount of trick to your treat? Check out Yesteryear Village’s Spookyville, an old-fashioned Halloween soiree with kiddie rides, games, arts and crafts, pony rides and of course, trick-or-treating. Entering its twelfth year, Yesteryear Village’s 20 historic buildings will come alive with Halloween characters offering plenty of sweet treats for the whole family to enjoy along with pumpkin carving and scarecrow contests.
New this year is a pet costume contest, so be sure your pet looks spooktacular for a chance to win a special prize. The contest begins at 6 p.m. on both Friday, October 18 and 25. Kids will also have the chance to compete in their ghoulish getups on Sunday, October 20 and 27. For the treasure hunters in the family, be sure to join in a scavenger hunt on Saturday, October 19 and Friday, October 25 and make sure not to eat too much candy, as there will be plenty of food and witch’s brew for everyone to delight in. Not to mention, a DJ will be providing scary sounds each Saturday and Sunday. And of course on Halloween night between 5 and 8 p.m. children will be able to participate in the very best of trick-or-treating.
- Admission costs $7 and includes trick-or-treating every day, all contests, and all activities except pony rides. Age two and under are free.
