Old Key Lime House | Lantana
The century-old Old Key Lime House is a local favorite. Located off the Intracoastal Waterway, this eclectic restaurant and bar has been accommodating Lantana residents for decades. It’s the second oldest house in the town, offering an array of fresh seafood, cocktails and basket-style grub. The Chikee and Raw Bar offers half price drinks from 4-7 p.m. on weekdays with live bands playing reggae, rock and acoustic sets from Tuesday through Sunday. For bites, the Baltimore-style crab cakes, New England-style lobster and shrimp rolls and award-winning Key Lime Pie are crowd pleasers.
For University of Florida fans, Key Lime is the only place to be (besides The Swamp) come game day. An official Gators viewing bar, as named by the Palm Beach County Gator Club, Key Lime is home to one of the largest Gators gatherings in the county, made famous by the after-victory dip off the dock.
With a floating, wrapping dock; Waverunner dock; and “T” dock, the Old Key Lime House is accessible by boat, seaplane or Waverunner and even has the capability of rafting boats if the necessity arises.
