4 Spooky Spirits

Local restaurants are brewing some tantalizing Halloween-inspired concoctions this month. Get the recipes below for cocktails from Tin Fish in West Palm Beach and Cantina Laredo in Palm Beach Gardens.

 

From Tin Fish:

Witches Brew Sangria

Ingredients

  • Opici sangria
  • Splash of orange juice
  • Splash of Sprite
  • 1 orange
  • 1 lime
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 cherry
  • Gummy worms

Fill glass with ice, sangria and Spirte. Squeeze juice from orange, lime and lemon into glass. Add cherry. Top with orange juice and stir. Decorate with gummy worms.

Ingredients

  • 1½ oz. well vodka
  • 1½ oz. Midori
  • Splash of pineapple juice
  • Splash of Watermelon Pucker
  • Ping-pong ball "eye"

Pour vodka, Midori, juice and Watermelon Pucker into cocktail shaker. Shake, then strain into a glass and top with ping-pong ball.

 

Drunken Pumpkin Pie

Ingredients

  • 1½ oz. Pinnacle pumpkin pie vodka
  • Cream soda
  • Whipped cream
  • Cinnamon
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • garnished with a candy pumpkin and a cinnamon stick

Rim a glass with cinnamon. Pour vodka and cream soda into glass; stir. Top with whipped cream, garnish with cinnamon stick and orange peel.

 

From Cantina Laredo:

Caramelized Pineapple Martini

Ingredients

  • 2 small scoops lemon sorbet
  • 1 oz. Cointreau
  • 2 oz. Herradura Reposado
  • 1 oz. caramelized pineapple puree
  • 1 oz. fresh orange juice
  • Dash cayenne pepper

Dip lemon sorbet into martini glass. Separately, fill a shaker with ice and add remaining ingredients. Shake until well chilled, and strain into the martini glass over sorbet scoops. Garnish with fresh mint sprig.
