Yesterday, the Palm Beach Photographic Centre announced the winners of the Eighteenth Annual Member’s Show. Photographer Vincent Versace judged the entries, awarding top prizes to images that capture oft unseen, intimate moments. Dennis Holt earned first place for his photo “Short-Eared Owl is Agitated Before Hunt.” Holt, who splits his time between Boston and Naples, was awarded a cash prize of $950 for his Best-of-Show image. Wayne Becker, of Wellington, and Anne Converse, of Stuart, received honorable mentions for their photos entitled “Peek-a-Boo” and “Early Morning Moonset Pace and Cart 2011,” respectively. These images, along with the rest of the Member’s Show, are on display at the Palm Beach Photographic Centre in West Palm Beach through August 2. Admission is free.
