Best Waterfront Restaurant: Guanabanas

Overlooking the Jupiter River since 2008, Guanabanas is hugely popular with locals, celebrities, and tourists alike. This 100-percent open-air restaurant and bar has a deep commitment to fresh Florida seafood, and also gives back to the community through programs such as No Kid Hungry and Surfers for Autism. The decor is pure Florida: woven tiki huts, towering banyan trees, and hand-chiseled coquina pathways transport visitors to Key West. Regulars come for the music as much as the food, with local acts and national favorites such as reggae legend Julian Marley appearing frequently. The best seat in the house? “I love the four tables in the overlook section, right next to the tiki hut,” says general manager Jon Sullivan. “It gives you an unobstructed view of the river in a secluded, quiet, and romantic setting.” (561-747-8878)
