Trendsetters: Sarah Wetenhall

As a regular at The Colony Hotel for the past 20 years, Sarah Wetenhall has always considered it her “home away from home.” When she and her husband, Andrew, purchased the charming Palm Beach property in 2016, her family’s history with The Colony came full circle (her father-in-law was the principal owner in the ’70s and ’80s). Now, as its president and CEO, she’s shaping the future of this iconic hotel, which will see a major update this fall with the new, breezy Coral Ballroom and Terrace designed by Kemble Interiors. Wetenhall and her family split their time between their residence at The Colony and their homes in East Hampton and Manhattan, where she previously headed up PR and marketing campaigns for luxury brands like Dolce & Gabbana, Hugo Boss, and Calvin Klein. When she’s not plotting the hotel’s next phase, she enjoys watching improv comedy, working on her golf game, and exploring new destinations with her three children.
