August 29: Clematis by Night

The City of West Palm Beach will host a free concert featuring Solparty Band and Melinda Elena as part of its weekly Clematis by Night series on Thursday, August 29. Solparty will take the stage at 6 p.m. and perform a variety of popular songs from the likes of Pink Floyd, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Sublime, to name a few. Singer Melinda Elena will headline the evening with a repertoire of R&B and classic rock music. More information available here.

August 30: Beck and Cage the Elephant

Rock legend Beck and indie darlings Cage the Elephant will perform at the Coral Sky Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach on Friday, August 30. Following a performance by special guests Spoon, Cage the Elephant will take the stage in support of their most recent album Social Cues. Beck, who is most famous for such mid-’90s hits as “Loser” and “Devil’s Haircut,” will round out the evening. Tickets start at $43. For more information, click here.

August 31: Sinatra to Soul

Singer Chris Thomas will bring his “Sinatra to Soul” tour to Arts Garage in Delray Beach Saturday, August 31. Beginning at 8 p.m., Thomas and his eight-piece band will perform music by Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., and Bobby Darrin, as well as contemporary crooners such as Harry Connick Jr. and Michael Bublé. He’ll round out the “soul” experience with hits from James Brown, Stevie Wonder, and The Temptations, to name a few. Tickets cost $35-$45. For more information, click here.
