On February 7, guests gathered at the Sailfish Club for an unforgettable evening in support of St. Ann Place Outreach Center. With the enchanting theme “The Eternal City,” the venue was magically transformed to transport attendees straight to Rome, capturing the romance, beauty, and timeless elegance of Italy’s capital.
Chaired by Melinda and Tom Hassen, with co-chairs Virginia and John Gildea, the evening reflected both meticulous planning and heartfelt purpose. Honorary chairmen were Mitzi and Cyrus Freidheim.
The celebration began with a festive cocktail reception, where guests mingled amid décor inspired by the charm of Rome. The ambiance evoked the warmth of Italian hospitality. Following cocktails, attendees enjoyed a sumptuous dinner before taking them to the dance floor for an evening of music and celebration.
A highlight of the evening was a special performance by internationally acclaimed opera tenor James Valenti. His stirring renditions of beloved Italian songs filled the room with emotion and grandeur, adding an authentic touch to the Roman-inspired celebration.
At the heart of the evening was the mission of St. Ann Place Outreach Center, an organization dedicated to providing dignity, compassion, and essential services to individuals experiencing homelessness and hardship. During the program, CEO John Pescosolido announced that Margie McCloskey O’Neil was the recipient of the prestigious Founders Award, recognizing her dedication and steadfast support of the organization’s outreach efforts.
In a moving moment, Melinda and Tom Hassen proudly presented an award to John Pescosolido, honoring his exceptional leadership and unwavering commitment to serving those in need.
