Thanks to work experience at GQ, Vogue, Marie Claire, and Elle, former fashion editor and stylist Brittany Kozerski Freeney knew the fashion world well before she launched JADE Swim, her line of sustainable suits. Originally from Bloomfield, Michigan, Freeney earned a BA from the University of Michigan, then lived in New York City for eight years and Los Angeles for one year prior to settling in Palm Beach Gardens with her husband, retired football player Dwight Freeney. “My husband and I relocated here together after getting married,” she shares. “He’s always dreamed of living here and I loved that idea.” In addition to their toy goldendoodle, Lucky, the pair recently welcomed a baby girl named Olivia to their family. Next up for Freeney’s burgeoning swimwear company is a collection of cover-ups and a body and skin care line.

Signature accessories: I love minimal fine jewelry that layers well. I have three diamond/silver/gold bracelets I never take off: an initial bracelet I gave to all my bridesmaids, a tennis bracelet from our first anniversary, and a bracelet my first fashion boss gave me years ago, all from XIV Karats in LA and Phoenix Roze in NYC.
Product she can’t live without: Ilia mascara. I transitioned to all clean beauty during my pregnancy, and this mascara has been my new obsession.

Never flies without: Magazines. I know many people prefer to read content online, but I still love a paper magazine. I love fashion magazines but also business magazines like Fast Company.
Best advice she’s received: “It’s never as bad as it seems.” It holds true for personal and business issues.
