City of West Palm Beach Continues Weekly ‘Show on the Go’ Drive-In Movies

The weekly drive-in movie event will continue to offer socially distanced fun for all every Saturday in September

From DIY at-home events to crafts for children, The City of West Palm Beach’s Community Events Department has had a busy summer of keeping residents entertained during the pandemic. To continue the tradition, the department will kick off “Show on the Go,” an innovative eight week event series featuring drive-in movies and pre-film trivia on Saturday, August 8. The drive-in venues will alternate between Dreher Park and Currie Park.

“The City of West Palm Beach is working to develop innovative ideas to maintain community bonds with the public’s safety in mind,” said West Palm Beach Mayor Keith A. James. “I am proud of our community events team for their continued efforts to provide positive entertainment options for our residents. I hope everyone will take advantage of this safe opportunity to relax and enjoy the show.”

The park gates will open at 6 p.m. and the films begin at 7 p.m. Admission costs $10 per vehicle or $30 for a “VIP” package, which includes front row parking, a family four-pack of popcorn, non-alcoholic beverages, and candy. Refreshments will be available for purchase and delivered directly to guests’ vehicles.

In an effort to maintain social distance and adhere to the county’s restrictions on group size, vehicles are limited to 10 passengers (or the legal limit based on vehicle size). Guests will be required to wear facial coverings and remain socially distanced when leaving their vehicles. Tickets and more information about the event are available here.
