Arts Garage, the Delray Beach-based arts nonprofit organization, will host Comedy for a Cause, its first post-pandemic summer benefit, on Sunday, July 11, at 7 p.m. The evening of fun and fundraising will be headlined by Sarge, a comedian, self-taught piano savant, author, and motivational speaker. Sarge’s personal experiences with addiction and homelessness inform his empathic, poignant, and honest stage presence, which has allowed him to dazzle audiences across the world.
“Get ready for some much-needed laughter with a dynamic and hilarious performance by Sarge,” said Marjorie Waldo, Arts Garage’s president and CEO. “His inimitable brand of music, stand-up comedy, and motivational speaking has captivated audiences from Radio City Music Hall to The Late Show with Craig Ferguson, from Major League Baseball’s All-Star Game to Iraq where he entertained the troops.”
The evening will include light bites, a drink from the cash bar, and the chance to enter a raffle to win $250 in scratch-off lottery tickets. VIP tickets cost $75 each and include front row seats to the show. General Admission tickets are $50. They are available for purchase by calling the Box Office at (561) 450.6357 or online.
