Get those tasting mugs ready folks, the Delray Beach Craft Beer Fest returns to Old School Square for its fourth year on May 8, marking a celebration for all those cats and kittens that enjoy a frosted brew. On tap, more than 100 craft beers and ciders from local, regional and national breweries, as well as a few home brewers for good measure. On the local front, expect savory samples from Barrel of Monks Brewing, Funky Buddha Brewery and Saltwater Brewery, while the list of Florida-based brew boys outside the PBC will be representing in large numbers—there are simply too many to name. In all, more than 50 breweries will be on hand to pour some suds—one of the best brewery-attended beer fests in Palm Beach County—giving fans a chance to taste some of the breweries’ standards, as well as special cask beers made special for this very occasion.
For those who prefer grapes to hops, Gnarley Head, Belle Ambiance and La Merika will also be on hand, brining with them three varietals each for tastings. As for food, an array “pub grub” will be available for hungry patrons. As a special nightcap to the evening, Spred the Dub will perform from 9 p.m. to close (10:30 p.m.), bringing their distinct style of roots, funk and soul to the party.
- The party runs from 6:30-10:30 p.m., with general admission at 7:30 p.m. (VIP’s get early access, as well as a special tasting mug, and featured tap releases). General admission costs $40 at the gate ($35 in advance); VIP admission costs $60 at the gate ($50 in advance online only, only 500 VIP tickets will be sold).
