Once every two years, the Cultural Council of Palm Beach County challenges artists to submit their absolute best work—no theme, no boundaries, just make it great—for inclusion in a juried art show. That time is now.
Through April 27, area creators can make submissions using this link. All artists must be 18 years or older and reside in Palm Beach County. Artists can contribute three works for a fee of $35 and pay $10 for each additional piece up to a total of five.
Jennifer Inacio, assistant curator at the Pérez Art Museum Miami, will judge the submissions. Inacio holds a master’s degree in contemporary art theory and recently helped organize the first large-scale retrospective of artist Julio Le Parc in the United States. In addition to selecting the pieces for the Cultural Council Biennial 2017, Inacio will also award third place, second place, and best in show distinctions. During the show’s run, visitors will also determine a people’s choice piece.
Participating artists will be notified of their inclusion on May 19. The show will be on display at the Cultural Council of Palm Beach County gallery in Lake Worth June 9 to September 2. Good luck!
