One of the most celebrated musicals in the history of Broadway will be coming to Jupiter to close the Maltz Jupiter Theatre’s 2014-2015 season. The vilified-turned-venerable Jean Valjean, the relentless Javert, and the loving Cosette will all take the stage when the Maltz presents Les Misérables, from March 10 through April 5.
Based on the Victor Hugo novel of the same name, the story of redemption, revolution and love made its English-langue musical debut in 1985 on London’s West End, and has wowed audiences ever-since, becoming the longest running musical in the world and adapted into an Academy Award-winning film to boot. The Tony Award-winning Claude-Michel Schönberg musical features some of musical theater’s most inspiring songs, including “I Dreamed a Dream,” “One More Day,” and “On My Own,” and is certainly a production not to be missed.
