Courtney, Jonathan B.

Dr. Jonathan Courtney is a board-certified, orthopedic surgeon specializing in hip and knee reconstructive surgeries. After graduating from the University of Miami with an honors distinction, Dr. Courtney attended the Sackler School of Medicine, in Tel Aviv, Israel. He then completed an orthopedic surgery residency in Montefiore Medical Center, Bronx, New York. He went on to the prestigious Insall-Scott-Kelly Institute in Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan, New York.

Dr. Courtney has written numerous articles in the field of adult reconstruction and routinely lectures nationally and internationally on his expertise. He teaches orthopedic surgery residents as well as other surgeons how to perform complex hip and knee surgeries. He is a clinical affiliate associate professor of surgery at Florida Atlantic University and the vice chief of orthopedic surgery at Boca Raton Regional Hospital.

Dr. Courtney takes care of his patients the same way he would want his family to be treated: with compassionate care. He strives to deliver not only the best outcomes for his patients, but the best service for them as well. Using evidence-based medicine combined with the latest technologies and minimally invasive techniques, Dr. Courtney can provide his patient’s world-class care with a personalized touch.

Since moving to Boca Raton in 2016, Dr. Courtney has become the pre-eminent joint replacement surgeon in Boca Raton and South Palm Beach and North Broward counties, performing thousands of these complex procedures. He has helped make South Florida a leader in outpatient joint replacement surgery with his advanced protocols leading to superior outcomes for his patients. He is currently designing new prostheses which promise to revolutionize hip and knee replacement in the near future.

Dr. Courtney enjoys spending time with his family, coaching his sons’ sports teams, watching the local professional and college sports teams, enjoying country music, and the overall Florida lifestyle.
