Jonathan Courtney, MD

Dr. Jonathan Courtney is a board-certified, orthopedic surgeon specializing in hip and knee reconstructive surgeries. After graduating the University of Miami with an honors distinction, Dr. Courtney attended the Sackler School of Medicine in Tel Aviv, Israel. He then completed an orthopedic surgery residency in Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, New York. He went on to the prestigious Insall-Scott- Kelly Institute in Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan, New York.

Dr. Courtney has written numerous articles in the field of adult reconstruction and routinely lectures nationally and internationally on his expertise. He teaches orthopedic surgery residents as well as other surgeons how to perform complex hip and knee surgeries. He is a clinical affiliate associate professor of surgery at Florida Atlantic
University.

Dr. Courtney takes care of his patients the same way he would want his family to be treated: with compassionate care. He has helped make South Florida a leader in outpatient joint replacement surgery with his advanced protocols leading to superior outcomes for his patients. He is currently designing new prostheses which promise to revolutionize hip and knee replacement in the near future.

Dr. Courtney enjoys spending time with his family, coaching his sons’ sports teams, watching the local professional and college sports teams, and the overall Florida lifestyle.
