Dr. Roberto Acosta is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with subspecialty qualifications in hand and microsurgery. Dr. Acosta specializes in hand and wrist fractures, neurologic and arthritic conditions as well as sports-related hand, wrist, and upper extremity injuries. In practice for more than 25 years, he has established the gold standard for hand and upper extremity care in South Florida. Dr. Acosta is the go-to orthopedic hand surgeon for professional athletes, consulting for the Miami Marlins and the Washington Nationals. He is affiliated with Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) and is the longstanding Section Chief of hand surgery at St. Mary’s Medical Center, a Level 1 trauma center. Dr. Acosta is an attending hand surgery faculty member for the University of Miami/HCA orthopedic residency program. His attention to detail and individualized personal patient care makes his practice the premier orthopedic hand and upper extremity practice in our community. With offices in West Palm Beach and Jupiter, Dr. Acosta continues to care for the entire spectrum of upper extremity problems from the pediatric to the geriatric patient.
