    John F. Morrison MD, FAANS is a board-certified neurosurgeon who is extensively trained in matters relating to the spine, cerebrovascular neurosurgery, brain tumors, hydrocephalus surgery, and peripheral nerve surgery. Dr. John F. Morrison is one of few highly skilled in minimally invasive spine surgery. He attended Creighton University for medical school; then he continued his training at Boston University, Brown University, and University at Buffalo Neurosurgery.

    As a fifth-generation physician, it was engrained in him the importance of caring for each patient as an individual not a number. Dr. John F. Morrison takes pride and feels a sense of added responsibility to try to work to find a solution for his patients. In 2019, he moved from New York to open the Morrison Clinic as a tribute to his greatgrandfather, general surgeon O.C. Morrison, who opened in the early 1900s the first Morrison Clinic in Iowa. Since opening, Dr. Morrison has vast experience transforming the quality of life for patients with brain and spine conditions and has expanded to six locations in South Florida. Dr. Morrison accepts most insurances, worker’s compensation, and legal cases. He sees patients from all over the state, country, and internationally. For his concierge patients, his practice facilitates transportation, lodging, surgical and post-surgical care, as well as follow-up.

    Dr. Morrison performs endoscopic spine surgery, spinal fusions, brain (including pituitary), and spinal tumor excision, skull base surgery, microvascular decompression, eagle syndrome, and cerebrovascular neurosurgery.

    Dr. Morrison is enthusiastic about teaching the next generation, he has joined as associate professor at both the Kiran C. Patel College of Allopathic Medicine at Nova Southeastern University and the SUNY Upstate Medical University. Additionally, Dr. Morrison is a member of AANS, CNS, and appointed to the Joint Section on Neurotrauma and Critical Care. He enjoys time with his family golfing, playing tennis, boating, traveling, and watching sports, especially the Badgers.
