Downtown Palm Beach Gardens will bring a splash of color in 2021 with support from the Cultural Council for Palm Beach County. The lifestyle, shopping, and entertainment destination has issued a “Call to Artists” and will feature South Florida-based professional artists’ works in the Art Mural Wall installation, which is set to be revealed in 2021. In addition to the murals, the common areas of the lifestyle plaza will be reimagined with landscaping, sculptural seating and swings.

Two artists will be selected amongst the submissions to create wall art between March 2021 and March 2022. Each large-scale piece will be displayed on four concrete murals (measuring 15.9 feet by 15.9 feet) for six months. Each chosen artist will receive a $6,000 artist fee, which includes the cost of materials.

“We are grateful to the Cultural Council for Palm Beach County for exposure to local artists for this exciting centerpiece for Downtown’s Art Mural Wall,” said Erin Devlin, Shopping Center Marketing Manager for ShopCore Properties, the owners of and managing entity for Downtown Palm Beach Gardens. “Our ‘Call for Artists’ is another way Downtown is elevating its offerings and expanding its reach to the community. We encourage all professional artists to submit their work for this high-profile opportunity.”

Professional artists interested in featuring their work at Downtown Palm Beach Gardens should send a bio and up to five high-resolution (300 dpi or higher) images of their work to Erin Devlin at edevlin@shopcore.com by Sunday, November 1.
