24th Annual Student Showcase of Film Awards

The electrifying red-carpet Student Showcase of Films awards show, will present $15,000 in awards and prizes to winning student entries on Friday, April 5, 2019 at the Wold Performing Arts Center at Lynn University in Boca Raton, FL. The featured theme this year will be a tribute to the legendary actor Burt Reynolds, who dedicated more than two decades to the red-carpet awards that acknowledge the immensely talented student film makers in Florida. The live, televised event to be hosted by actor, musician and comedian, Frank Licari, actor Chris Hayes, Vanilla Ice and other surprise celebrities will be presenting the awards.
The event attracts more than 700 students and their families, along with celebrities, industry pros, media, state and country dignitaries, performers, and more. The star phenom, The Mason Pace Band, from Boca Raton is fresh off of their win as “Best Artist” and “Rising Star” awards at the Rome International Film Festival and a finalist in the Music Video award category.
Guests will have an opportunity to view the winning film clips in twelve categories that were selected from over 700 record-breaking entries. The superbly talented group of students’ hail from the finest film and digital media high schools, colleges and universities in the State of Florida. It is the largest student film competition and award show in the state.
The Student Showcase of Films is presented annually by the Palm Beach County Film Commission. The event is free and open to the public.
