Amazing Butterflies at the South Florida Science Center and Aquarium

In Franz Kafka’s seminal work, The Metamorphosis, a luckless salesman gets a taste of the bug’s life when he becomes one. In South Florida Science Center and Aquarium’s new interactive exhibit, “Amazing Butterflies,” on display May 6 to September 29, pint-sized entomologists can look inside the wondrous world of lepidopterans and experience the larval journey from the cocoon to the chrysalis. Along the way, guests will navigate through a maze of didactic experiences, like walking in caterpillar “legs,” sitting inside a giant pupa pod, and descending down a butterfly zip line.
