Art Class: Polymer Clay Techniques & Complex Canes

Local polymer artist Lori Axelrod will teach how to blend clay to make your own custom colors, learn about the magic of the Skinner Blend and create tri-colored bars of clay. The clay will be shaped and reduced into logs and squares (called polymer clay canes) and then sliced to reveal your beautiful masterpiece. These polymer clay canes can be used in projects to create jewelry, sculptures, mosaics, cover glass items and/or used with mixed media projects. The possibilities are endless.

Lori will share many tips and techniques and you’ll be leaving this class with a bracelet using your beautiful polymer clay canes. You’ll get knowledge to kick-start your creative journey into polymer clay. THIS IS AN INTERMEDIATE LEVEL CLASS SO BASIC POLYMER KNOWLEDGE IS RECOMMENDED.
