Art Workshop: Make a Bread Basket or Tray

Local potter Cynthia Zmetronak will coach you through how to make a woven clay basket or tray perfect for holding bread or fruit. This is a 2-day workshop and attendance at both classes is required. In class #1 (Friday, October 25, 10 am-1 pm) you’ll create your woven piece and get it ready for drying and firing. You’ll be rolling clay slabs, measuring and cutting clay strips to weave in a support form until the drying process is complete. In class #2 (Friday, November 1, 10 am-12:30 pm) you’ll be for preparing your piece for the glaze firing.

A pick up time for your finished piece will be announced at a later date. The fee for the workshop is $75+tax, which includes materials and firing. The workshop is held at The Craft Gallery at 5911 S. Dixie Highway in West Palm Beach. Register today at 561-762-8162 or potteryme@aol.com
