Delray Beach Fred Astaire Dance Studio brings the magic of the movies to the stage with Blockbuster Ballroom, a high-energy, Hollywood-inspired ballroom dance spectacular, presented Saturday, March 7, and Sunday, March 8, 2026, at The Wick Theatre & Costume Museum in Boca Raton.
Designed as a cinematic, immersive live experience, Blockbuster Ballroom transforms iconic moments from film into dynamic ballroom performances that blend athleticism, artistry, and storytelling. Audiences will experience a diverse range of dance styles including fiery Salsa, passionate Tango, elegant Viennese Waltz, explosive Jive, sultry Burlesque, and bold Broadway-style numbers—each inspired by beloved films such as Take the Lead, Burlesque, and The Greatest Showman.
Every number features theatrical staging and breathtaking choreography by National Ballroom Champions Kristian Sesse and Mae Lozada. The production showcases a cast of standout Delray Beach Fred Astaire students performing alongside elite professional dancers, creating a powerful and inspiring blend of community talent and world-class expertise. Together, they deliver an evening filled with emotion, precision, and show-stopping performances designed to captivate dance lovers, movie fans, and live-theatre audiences alike.

Following the Saturday evening performance, ticketed guests are invited to an exclusive VIP Party at The Wick’s Museum Club, featuring an intimate meet-and-greet with the performers, complimentary champagne, and passed hors d’oeuvres—offering a behind-the-scenes extension of the show’s glamour and excitement.
