Founder’s Award Luncheon

May 8, 2018 @ 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm

Join us at the annual Founder’s Award Luncheon, a celebration of philanthropy hosted by the Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties. The program will reveal the Foundation’s areas of focus based on its recent study of community needs and recognize its 2018 grant recipients. A highlight of the afternoon will include a special presentation of the Founder’s Award honoring Lore and John Dodge.
Keynote speaker Rip Rapson is president, CEO and trustee of the Kresge Foundation, a private, national foundation dedicated to expanding opportunities in America’s cities through grantmaking and social investing. Rip will discuss the importance of community engagement, convening and partnerships.

The annual Founder’s Award Luncheon hosts 500+ guests including board members, donors, fund holders, local nonprofit organizations, corporate sponsors, community leaders and local residents from both Palm Beach and Martin Counties and is hosted at the end of Palm Beach’s popular event season. Last year’s honoree was the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation; honoring their incredible work in our community as they inspire residents to engage and build a more vibrant community. Past nominees also include the Mary and Robert Pew Public Education Fund, Henry Flagler’s great-grandson and philanthropist William Matthews, and mother/daughter team Marjorie S. Fisher and Julie Fisher Cummings for their charitable impact throughout the community.
