DESCRIPTION:MoviesMakingADifference will host its 2nd Annual Mardi Gras event at Café Centro on February 28 to celebrate the heroic survivors of the events that inspired the film “Cathedral Canyon\,” winner of the Audience Choice Award for Best Feature Film at the Palm Beach International Film Festival. Though there are heart-wrenching portrayals of human trafficking in the film\, it also honors the courageous and inspiring actions of those who fought to be end it\, something MoviesMakingADifference would like to honor through a joyous evening of dinner\, dancing\, and discussion. The event will also have a silent auction and a meet and greet with the survivors whose lives inspired the film.\n\nFunds raised by the event will go towards aiding abuse victims\, as well as the production of the film’s sequel\, “Cult Cartel\,” which will give survivors closure and empower them to fight back.\n\nPrice: $125 per single general admission ticket\, $150 per single VIP ticket\, $1200 for a VIP table of 8. Tickets are available here.
