National Chicken Wing Day at Barrio

Birds of a feather dine together! On National Chicken Wing Day, July 29, head over to Barrio in Rosemary Square for finger-lickin’ good fare.

Barrio’s eponymous wings are a culinary gem. Barrio Wings ($13) feature a secret rub loaded with smoky peppers, Spanish paprika, chili powder, adobo, garlic, oregano, and dry chilies. Roasted then lightly floured and fried at a high temp to get them really crispy. Finally, they’re tossed in a saffron spiced honey butter and served with blue cheese dipping sauce. “Our wings are inspired by Latin street fare and cooked with Spanish ingredients and a Floridian flare,” says executive chef Rolando Anoceto. “They’re one of my favorite menu items and taste great paired with one of Barrio’s local draft beers.”
