Lynn Philharmonia
Congratulations on 20 years of new music at Lynn! Join us for a special Gala Concert, a landmark event honoring two decades of bold, imaginative, and groundbreaking programming, commissions, and premieres.
This unforgettable evening features an all-American program, highlighted by the world premiere of a thrilling new piano concerto by acclaimed composer Glen Cortese, commissioned especially for this milestone celebration. At the heart of the program is festival founder and director Lisa Leonard, taking the stage as soloist with the Lynn University Philharmonia in a powerful work that redefines the boundaries of the form—infused with fresh ideas, unexpected textures and a strikingly original musical language.
The gala also revisits the festival’s rich legacy with performances of past commissioned works for solo piano, piano duo and a dazzling finale for three pianos—12 hands. Join us in honoring the past, celebrating the present and welcoming the future of new music in this one-night-only, not-to-be-missed event.
