“On the Frontiers of Medicine” Symposium

FreeNewYork-Presbyterian Hospital returns to the Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts, Inc. to host its annual symposium on high-tech therapies and compassionate patient care, sharing new expertise and insights with Palm Beach area residents. This year’s symposium will allow attendees to learn more about Alzheimer’s prevention, innovations in cancer care, and sexual health insights for women over 50.
Dr. Laura L. Forese, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of NewYork-Presbyterian, will lead the symposium, with Dr. Herbert Pardes, Executive Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of NewYork-Presbyterian, and Dr. Katherine Heilpern, Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center, making remarks. Dr. Heilpern will speak about the NewYork-Presbyterian Alexandra Cohen Hospital for Women and Newborns, set to open later this year.
Presentations will include:
• Is Alzheimer’s Prevention Possible Today presented by Richard S. Isaacson, MD, Director of the Alzheimer’s Prevention Clinic at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center
• Innovations in Cancer Care presented by Nicole Lamanna, MD, Director of the Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia Program at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center
• Over 50 and in the Mood presented by Gail Saltz, MD, Associate Attending Psychiatrist at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center
