Zumba With Purpose Breast Cancer Awareness Event

Susan G. Komen® Florida and Say WHAT! Enterprise are partnering to offer a free Zumba class and breast cancer awareness event on Tuesday, January 15th from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Libby Wesley Amphitheater in Delray Beach, FL. The event will include a Zumba class, breast cancer survivor celebration, breast health education, healthy snacks and smoothies, and giveaways.
Susan G. Komen Florida’s community breast health navigator, Melissa Dixon, will lead the breast cancer education session to help increase awareness of the importance of early detection, breast health and life-saving services available through Komen Florida. Dixon, a Haitian American breast cancer survivor, focuses her efforts on reaching women of diversity in the Delray Beach community, particularly African American women who have a 40% higher mortality rate for breast cancer than white women.
